You are a hairdresser and you should be proud!

If you or others undervalue your worth as a hairstylist then listen in to today’s episode. I’ve the honour to bring you one of the the most powerful and impactful interviews you’ll ever get to hear on why being a hairdresser has such worth and value. Joining me for this conversation is one of Europes most highly respected hair artists, Gianni Scumaci. It’s a thought provoking interview from an incredible mind and great communicator.

Gianni is passionate about raising the value of hairdressing and founded GS Education spending the last few years traveling the world educating hairdressers, awakening them to their worth and hidden intelligence. More recently he was invited to speak at global brands Apple and Nike to share his philosophy on the teachings of this subject and his creative process. Today his going to share this with you, along with his story on how his carved out a unique and successful career in the worlds of salon, editorial and education.

Gianni is well qualified to share his philosophy the world over. Cutting hair by the age of 11 and by 14 he had toured in the UK performing hair seminars on stage. He became the youngest ever creative director at Sassoon, and created the iconic haircut ‘The Fanni’ which dictated the looks for many fashion houses including Gucci and Jill Sander. He’s collaborated with numerous iconic fashion photographers (including long standing relationships with Tim Walker and David Bailey) and his haircuts have featured on the cover of British Vogue and in editorials for Vogue Italia, Nippon and L’uomo Vogue.

This episode is a reminder on why what we all do as hairdressers and barbers is so meaningful. It will reconnect you back to why you came in to the industry, your worth, and why it puts you on an equal level with other highly respected professionals. I promise you that our conversation with Gianni will have a profound effect on you. Hit play and lets go deep!
